Mrs. Alicia Floyd - BDE Principal

Welcome Mrs. Floyd To BDE!

The Ash Grove School District is pleased to announce Mrs. Alicia Floyd as the Principal of Bois D’Arc Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year.  Mrs. Floyd will be filling the position left by the resignation of Dr. Karie Julian who will be transitioning to the Nixa School District after serving BDE for the past eight years.  Mrs. Floyd was selected to take this leadership position following a comprehensive interview process that included students, parents, staff and school board members.

Alicia Floyd is a native of Ash Grove and holds a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Missouri State University.  She has 21 years of experience serving as a classroom teacher, interim counselor, and assistant principal.  These experiences have provided her with a solid foundation in educational leadership and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students. Mrs. Floyd shared her mission as the principal is to empower both students and teachers to excel academically while cultivating a supportive and inclusive environment.  She is dedicated to ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and engaged as a partner in their own learning journey.

Mrs. Floyd and her husband Jerod reside in the Ash Grove School District with their daughters Macy and Millie.  Her strong ties to the community inspire her dedication to fostering educational excellence and support for all Ash Grove students.

The Ash Grove School District and Board of Education are excited to welcome Mrs. Floyd as the Principal of Bois D’Arc Elementary.

c. responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into its policies, procedures, and practices; and seeks to actively resist re-traumatization
